Accreditation Manager

Wendy Reid works out of Calgary providing information and support to applicant child care services, as well as taking on a case management workload for southern Alberta. She also delivers presentations about the process of accreditation and the functions of the agency. Wendy acts on behalf of the Executive Director when she is away.

Information and Communications Manager

Diane Langner is the Information and Communications Manager. She is primarily responsible for implementing communication strategies and tools to promote and ensure continuing awareness of accreditation in the child care field. Maintaining the AELCS website; editing and formatting the Self Study tools and Validator training manuals; and ensuring quality in all communication products and projects are just a few of her duties. She creates pamphlets, brochures, newsletters, and related materials for a wide range of audiences with different information needs, backgrounds, interests and cultural priorities.

Finance and Administration nager

Tracy McFarlane is the Finance and Administration Manager. She is responsible for implementing administrative and management systems, including records, space and material management. Duties also include managing human resources, preparing financial statements and developing budgets.

Site Visit Field Coordinator

Natasha Webber is the Site Visit Field Coordinator. Coordinating site visits for applicant services and providing support to the Validators and Moderators are some of her main responsibilities at the agency. She also supports and fields inquiries from child care services going through the accreditation process. She assists in presenting orientation sessions on the self- study process in the central and northern parts of the province. Other responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating Validator training sessions throughout the year.

OSC Site Visit Field Coordinator

Mary-Frances Smith is the OSC Site Visit Field Coordinator. Her main responsibilities are to coordinate site visits for OSC programs and to provide support to the OSC Validators and Moderators. She also supports and fields inquiries from OSC programs going through the accreditation process.  Other responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating Validator training sessions.

Pat MacDonald is an Accreditation Consultant at AELCS. Her main responsibility is assisting programs that are working through their self-study guide. She does this through phone contact, visiting programs, and facilitating workshops. Pat also assists with site visits as needed and trains Validators.

Nicole Ross is an Accreditation Consultant. She works with the child care and out-of-school care accreditation teams to provide support to programs working through the accreditation process. Nicole completes site visits monthly; therefore may be out of the office at times.
