Quality Standards for Early Learning and Care Services

The ten Quality Standards are applicable for early learning and care services in general. They are divided into four categories of outcomes: for children, for families, for staff and for the community. Brief statements regarding the importance of each category and standard are included. Each standard is broken down into numbered criteria that are, in turn, elaborated as indicators. Indicators are specific to the type of care being offered.
