Are You Ready For a Site Visit?
It is extremely important that the child care service ensures that all of their self-study documents are complete and copies are available for collection and validation as requested. The child care service is responsible for the thoroughness of the self- study documents and completion of the Self Study Guide.
You want to be sure that you are ready when you request a site visit for many reasons. Once your site visit has been confirmed you cannot cancel the visit without adequate notice. Requesting a site visit before you are ready can result in accreditation status being denied. The onus is on the child care service to have all of their evidence organized and available for the site visit. These items need to be completed before requesting a site visit:
- Completed Surveys
- Completed Observation Checklists
- Completed Portfolio
- Completed QEP
- All Consent Forms
- Completed Site Visit Request Form
Remember that you must be substantially meeting all ten standards to achieve accreditation.
