On-line Self-study Guide for Accreditation

If you want access to an on-line Self-study Guide for Accreditation and you have not applied to become accredited, you must complete an  Accreditation Application.   Once our office has received your application along with all the necessary documentation, an access code to the online guide will be provided to you.

If you are already in the accreditation process and you would like access to an on-line Self-study Guide, you must contact Tracy McFarlane by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  to request access.  Please indicate your full name, the full name of your program and your phone number in your email correspondence.

Prior to gaining access, an  Authorization to Access Information Form  for OSC programs must be completed and faxed to the AELCS office.  Our fax number is 780-421-9229.

Proprietary Rights of Accreditation Materials

A program’s eligibility to become accredited and to maintain accreditation status is linked to the status of the operating license. Therefore, the materials that are issued to a program to become accredited are owned by the program. They are not owned by any one individual and must not be removed from the program when an individual leaves or when a program is sold. New directors and owners must have access to the program’s accreditation materials to complete their accreditation process or to demonstrate that they are maintaining the AOSCAP Quality Standards.

Surveys

Surveys can be completed online or through the traditional paper method.

Please refer to the on-line access code for the surveys, which was provided to you when you applied for accreditation.

If you are already in process and did not previously receive an on-line access code, you will need to contact Mary-Frances Smith by email at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
